  1. Once I was riding in the car, and my mother and I went to check out the sign to see if it was haunted. It was windy, so it didn’t work, and we ended up driving into the driveway to go around and out the other exit. I was looking down, and out of the corner of my eye I saw the lights in the top room on the east side come on. I looked up and saw a black shadow-man standing in the window, and he was holding something long in his hands. I shouted at my mom to stop the car, and then screamed at her to drive when I saw the man. No one saw the man but we, because he had disappeared from the window. As we were driving away from the museum towards the river (west), I looked out of the sunroof and saw the same shadow figure standing on the roof, holding the long pole or something again. I grabbed my brother’s shoulder and pointed, and he saw the shadow-man, but he won’t admit it to this day. And the lights shut off after we left, too. Creepy!

  2. Recently in the police records section of the local newspaper said that there was multiple motion detector alarms going off but nothing was found and the security company was looking into it. Could of been a malfunction but kinda interesting.

Every night I drive by that house at 930 pm to work at the hospital on night shift and it’s always on the bottom left window in the side of the house towards renwick except tonight the light wasn’t on.

  4. The church that’s apart of the museum was moved to Humboldt years ago, it used to be right across the street from the house I grew up in (it was moved before I was born). When I was little, I was always talking to myself/acting like I was talking to people when no one was there. One day, my dad saw a little girl walk down the stairs past him, though the only other kid in the house was my infant brother. Another time, I was looking out towards the empty lot where it used to sit. My dad came upstairs and asked what I was doing, I told him “look at all those dead people. That’s where my friend and her friends live.”

  5. There is also a rumor that a woman got pushed off the bridge to her death right up the road, apparently police ruled it as a suicide and they never questioned it after that!
