Originally built in 1790, the Attmore-Oliver House is reported to be haunted by poltergeists, possibly stemming from the last private owner or from deaths during a long-ago smallpox epidemic. The large historic home, normally used for Society functions, is open for tours by appointment.

I would like to find out if it is truly Haunted. Is it permitted to bring in evp/emp recorders and get video evidence? And also. Wht is the cost of a tour?
The town council, who you have to go through for permission to investigate Attmore Oliver house, does not support paranormal research. Ive made inquiries on 2 occasions and have been denied entry both times.
I worked here seasonally dressed up as a girl who lived there in the early 20th century. I’ve always been very open and in tune to the paranormal. There is nothing negative in the Attmore-Oliver house. There are definitely spirits there as there are in most very house in this area, but they basically mind there own business haha. You catch glimpses and things often. My most memorable was when I was standing at the foot of the stairs and saw a woman looking down at me from the very top level clear as day. You get used to it living in places like this. I definitely wouldn’t say poltergeist.
