Visitors here may see orbs and mists, some which have occurred in photographs. The Devils Chair is also a thing of legend. Folks say those who sit in it will be cursed by the ghost of an evil farmer who refused to sell his land to a city for the cemetery.

Been to this cemetery, mainly because there is a geocache placed inside. Have not experienced anything here other than tripping over my own feet. First heard about this “legend” by reading Lisa Hefner Heitz book, “Haunted Kansas”. Good story!!! Good book!!! Actually got to meet her once in Atchison, KS, when she was giving a speech about her book one past Halloween. Been back a few times with limited daylight – sun setting – just to see if I could experience anything and still nothing. Bummer!!
Grew up here when I was little…like maybe age 3-9 I think. Lived very close…on Iowa street. Mu folks would take us for walks and we would go to this cemetary and visit friends and members of our church buried there. Neve felt fear or negative energy there. God’s energy is the only spirit I ever felt there.
We lived by the blinking yellow light at 622 Missouri street. My mom ran a foster home there. After us keep us grew up and moved out, mom and dad moved out to the house on Darby… Right across the road from the cemetery.
Me and a group came here & we did get evps & evidence every since then our lives have been hell something followed us I had a dream my friend the foundation of her home was going to be broken she lost her baby the next day I had a dream after that that someone I was close to was going to be killed with a gun my friend from junior high shot to death a week later if you go to the cemetery only thing I ask if you’re going to investigate is do not go near the woods that is where we encountered something that made me almost pass out something is there and it’s strong and if you don’t want to believe me that’s fine we have had nothing but martial issues since going there see shadow people at our homes our evidence was good enough that we got over 50 likes on that location since the visit but we have had to delete our page due to all this out of all the places we have we’ve never encountered what did on that investigation I know it’s sounds crazy but you won’t understand in less you are experiencing it!!!! Please take this seriously
