Some say this Art Deco theater, built between 1941 and 1947 with a halt during World War II, is haunted. The former theater has been recently purchased (2011) by a group who allegedly has plans for its restoration.

    1. I saw Muriel Pfeil in the lobby coming down the stairs, in the mirrors, on way from women’s bathroom to the auditorium. She was wearing a colored dress that was out of our era and overly dressed for the movies so, out of curiosity, I looked away from the mirror towards the staircase, she was gone. I was 14 years old, it was 1984. Didn’t think nothing of it as I had assumed she’s already blended into the crowd of folks in the lobby. I was watching a movie when all of sudden, I had an “out of body” experience for the 1st time ever. I realized now, that it was the spirit I had felt, in the auditorium. Possibly Muriel, herself. I didn’t know that it was Muriel til I did some research recently and saw/recognized her face. Amazing!
